We were planning to make a donation to the Canadian Melanoma Foundation on behalf of a good friend — a two-time survivor of melanoma. What we discovered was that they didn’t have the means to accept online donations through their web site. We knew there were others who wanted to make donations on behalf of our friend, and we wanted it to be easier for people to donate.
We contacted the Foundation in Vancouver, but while they loved the idea of taking donations online, they didn’t the have time or skills in-house to make it happen.
Since we’ve helped clients with this process before, we helped guide them through the process of setting up the Canadian Melanoma Foundation as a charity on CanadaHelps.org. They were delighted!
