Tidewater Books, of Sackville, New Brunswick, has just launched a new web site at TidewaterBooks.ca.
It’s not just the web address that’s new, though; the site is now built upon a database-driven, open-source content-management system. This allows Tidewater Books staff to easily maintain and update the site’s content, including book reviews, best-seller lists and titles of local and regional interest. The site also offers an online special-order service, information on Tidewater Books’ Reading Rewards programme, and great links to online information on books, book-related tv & radio shows, bestseller lists, authors and more.
The site now also features keyword search capability, offsite book reviews (automatically added using RSS feeds) and it offers a syndication feature — allowing third-party web sites to easily publish Tidewater Books’ reviews.
