Queen’s University’s Continuing Teacher Education programme — part of the Faculty of Education — today launched a completely redesigned and rebuilt CoursesForTeachers.ca.
“I’m really happy with the results”, said Cal Bowry, Manager of Continuing Teacher Education. “Thinking back to the original concepts that I communicated to Tantramar Interactive at the beginning, I really do think that we have a smart, professional web site.”
The site was built using XHTML and CSS — which will ease future design updates, and make the site readily-adaptible to future technology standards.
From a usability/accessibility point of view, all text is fully resizable in any browser — including the navigation, which is text-based, context-sensitive and features CSS-based rollovers and you-are-here indicators. Visitors to the site who print pages will appreciate the paper-saving print style sheets.
